How Motorcycle Accidents Stand Out
A motorcycle wreck is a traffic accident that is very often catastrophic by comparison with car crashes, for several key reasons:
- A motorcyclist does not have the protection of a vehicle’s frame the way occupants of cars and trucks do. Injuries are often very serious as a result. Head injuries, spinal cord injuries, broken bones and serious internal injuries are, sadly, common among motorcyclists who have been involved in crashes.
- Motorcycle insurance requirements are often lower than those for drivers of cars and trucks. Injured bikers often discover that their own insurance is insufficient to cover the high costs of a serious injury.
- Law enforcement agents, insurance claims adjusters, judges, juries and other people evaluating motorcycle crashes often assume that motorcyclists voluntarily take on extraordinary risks. They may not consider who was really negligent before jumping to conclusions about who was at fault. When we investigate, we often discover that drivers of cars and trucks failed to watch out for motorcycles, forced them out of their lanes and otherwise violated traffic laws and good judgment.
We are zealous, determined trial lawyers who fight for our clients’ rights and interests – including motorcyclists’ rights to recover full compensation after other motorists’ actions have caused their injuries. We search for all available compensation and conduct detailed investigations so we can hold negligent motorists accountable.
